Our group is 100% volunteer. Here are some of our current projects:
Organize the artifacts in our classroom to make the room more open and accessible for the public.
Development of an exhibit highlighting the history of the old Edelstein Clothing Store on Lewis Ave.
Research of local cemeteries and cleaning of historic gravestones.
Development and sharing of portable exhibits to display at in-town Watertown Baseball games.
Set-up and staffing of our exhibit room at City Hall for the annual Rails to Trails Festival in July and the Halloween Party in October.
By becoming a member of the Watertown Historical Society you can join a small group of spirited friends who share a passion for honoring and embracing the wonderful history of the Watertown area. We have members who are researching the history of their rural homes and farms in Watertown Township. We also have members who are new residents of Watertown, interested in learning about our great community's past. And we have members who are long-time residents of our community, eager to share their knowledge of our roots.
Come and join us!
Membership is $10 per year for single, $25 per year for family
